Follow-up~Jenny's Harp Cage

Here are some close-ups of Jenny's harp-shaped cage.  It's a bit rusty but magnificent.
How wonderful to have the original perch included.

The close-up of the side shows that this originally had either glass or plastic seed guards on all 4 sides.  From the looks of the feeder attachments, the feeders had wings that were held by the forward-bent wires and held in place with the seed guard.  There's a pull-out drawer for easy cleaning.

Thanks for the follow-up pictures.

That cage is just fabulous! I have never seen a cage like it before. It is totally elegant. I wonder if the seed guard glass was etched, painted or plain. It a beautiful, beautiful cage. Thank you for sharing it!

I checked with the owner, Jenny, and she has no further information about this cage. It is a true beauty and unique.

Updated research shows a similar cage for sale reported to be a German cage manufactured between 1920s and 1950s. A very outstanding cage.
